What it covers.

The other half of the section is Chinese dried goods. Mountains supplies black fungus, white fungus, golden mushrooms and Tung Ku mushrooms in 50g and 100g bags, with 1kg and 3kg bags for restaurant kitchens. Eaglobe supplies dried bean curd as sticks, sheets and rolls. Jiabao has dried plums, waxberry and mandarin peel in small bags, 50 to a case.

China is the largest origin here, ahead of Poland.

How it differs from Nuts and Seeds.

Nuts and Seeds are snack sections. Dried fruit is bought for baking, for breakfast and for cooking, and the Chinese lines are kitchen ingredients for soups and stir-fries, so they belong on the dry-goods shelf of an Asian grocer. Dates have a section of their own.
