What Lisner is.
Lisner is a Polish maker of herring products, salads and sandwich spreads. It started in Wolsztyn in 1991 and moved three years later to Poznań, where it has its headquarters and main plant. The company is part of UTM, the food group that owns the Müller dairy brand, and says it leads the Polish market for herring preparations, salads and sandwich spreads.

Herring is the core: fillets in oil and in cream, dill, mushroom and Tatarski sauces, sweet and spicy fillets, and a herring salad with egg. The salads are Polish traditional vegetable, vegetable with corn, vegetable with eggs, and chicken. Pastella comes with eggs and with shrimp paste and vegetables, and there is a salmon paste with chives. All of these are chilled. Mackerel fillet in tomato sauce, sprats in tomato sauce and tuna in oil are tinned and ambient. The catalogue gives Poland as the origin of every line.
