Help for trade customers

Trade prices are shown in your ordering portal after you register. Registration takes a few minutes, and your login is sent the same day.

Prices and the portal.

This website shows the range without prices. Product pages give the case size and storage, and the country of origin for most lines.

Trade prices, live stock and your delivery day appear when you log in to your ordering portal. There are three portals: Nimbus Direct, the BWG portal, and Musgrave MarketPlace for Musgrave members.

Opening an account.

Go to the registration page and choose your route: Direct, BWG central billing or Musgrave central billing. Each route has its own short application.

  • Verify: an email code, a CRO or VAT lookup, your Eircode and photo ID.
  • Delivery and terms: your delivery window, an accounts contact and, if you want it, a credit application.
  • Login: your portal login and first delivery day arrive by email the same day.

What you need to register.

Sole traders and limited companies can both open an account.

  • Direct account: a VAT number or other proof of trading, your Eircode and photo ID.
  • BWG member store: your BWG CB number.
  • Musgrave member store: your Musgrave account number.

BWG and Musgrave central billing.

Stores in a buying group keep their central billing. Spar, Eurospar, Mace, Londis and XL stores register with their BWG CB number. SuperValu, Centra, Daybreak and MarketPlace customers register with their Musgrave account number.

Nimbus confirms the store with the group, usually the same day. Orders are then invoiced through the group.

Ordering.

Order on the portal, by WhatsApp or through telesales. Orders are by the case.

Wholesalers can buy by the full or mixed pallet on agreed terms.

Delivery.

Delivery is on scheduled routes to every county in the Republic of Ireland. Ambient, chilled and frozen each have their own route, and South African lines come on scheduled pre-order.

Your delivery day and the cut-off time for your area are shown in the portal. Proof of delivery and the invoice are saved there after each drop.

Credit and payment.

Every account can pay by card from the first order. Credit is applied for online with an e-signature, and most applications are decided within one working day.

Credit accounts are paid by SEPA direct debit or online in the portal.

Still need help?

If your question is not answered here, use the contact page. Existing customers can also ask through telesales or the WhatsApp number given with their account.

Common questions.

Why can't I see prices on the website?

Trade prices are shown only in your ordering portal. Register once, and prices, stock and your delivery day appear when you log in.

Which portal do I log in to?

Direct customers use Nimbus Direct. BWG member stores use the BWG portal. Musgrave members order through Musgrave MarketPlace. All three logins are on the order portals page.

How long does registration take?

A few minutes. Your portal login is sent by email the same day.

Do I need a VAT number?

A VAT number or other proof of trading is required to open a trade account. Sole traders and limited companies are both welcome.

Where do I find my CB number?

It appears on any BWG group invoice or statement.

Do I need to set Nimbus up as a new supplier with my group?

No. Orders are invoiced through your group account as usual.

Is there a minimum order?

You order by the case. The minimum order value and delivery charges depend on the account type and are explained once your account is open.

Can I order by WhatsApp?

Yes. Once your account is open you get a WhatsApp number for orders and queries.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?

Yes, on request. Scheduled routes cover the Republic of Ireland; Northern Ireland, Great Britain and other EU countries are supplied on request, and Nimbus exports to other countries on request.

Can packaging come on the same delivery as food and drinks?

Yes. Packaging, food and drinks travel on the same delivery.

Who can apply for a credit account?

Limited companies and established sole traders with a trading history. A director signs the application.

Can I order while my credit application is reviewed?

Yes. You can pay by card or bank transfer in the meantime.

Do I need a CRO number to open an account?

No. Sole traders can open an account without a CRO company number. You need a VAT number or other proof of trading, your Eircode and photo ID.

Do you stock a particular product or brand?

Search the range by product name, brand or barcode at nimbusdistributions.com/search, or browse every brand at nimbusdistributions.com/pages/brands. If you can't find a line, ask us and we'll check.

I registered but haven't received my login. What should I do?

Your portal login is normally emailed the same day. Check your spam folder, then contact sales@nimbusdistributions.com or 01 556 3794, Monday to Friday 09:00–17:30.

Can members of the public buy from Nimbus?

No. Nimbus supplies businesses only: shops, forecourts, takeaways, restaurants, caterers and wholesalers. Products are sold by the case.

I'm a brand or supplier. How do I get in touch?

Use the supplier form at nimbusdistributions.com/pages/suppliers. It goes to the buying team.
