What Zigmas is.
Zigmas is a Lithuanian fish brand made by Iceco Fish, whose factory is in the south-west of the country. Iceco says it has made Zigmas products for 20 years and that the brand is well known in Lithuania and Latvia. Salmon is the factory's main fish and herring its second.
The range in Ireland.
Herring fillets: salted, in oil, without oil, with herbs, in one-bite pieces, and with beetroot in mayonnaise sauce. Cold smoked salmon fillet, surimi sticks, and cream with salmon caviar or shrimp caviar. All of these are chilled lines and need a fridge from delivery to shelf.
The seaweed snacks, in salt, chilli and roasted onion, are ambient. They come in 5g packs, sixteen to a case. Every Zigmas line is from Lithuania.
