What Knorr is.
Knorr dates from 1838, when Carl Heinrich Knorr opened a business in Heilbronn, Germany. Its first dried soups went on sale across continental Europe in 1873, and its first bouillon cube followed in 1912. Knorr joined Unilever in 2000, and Unilever says the brand is now sold in over 90 countries.
Knorr sells different products in different countries, and the range here is drawn from several of those national ranges. Most lines come from Poland and South Africa, with others from Türkiye, Romania, Pakistan and Spain. Aromat, the seasoning from the South African range, was introduced in 1953. The instant noodles belong to the range Knorr launched in Pakistan in 1993.

How retailers range it.
Range Knorr by shopper, not as one block. Each group of lines comes from a different country's range and sells to the people who know it from there.
For a South African fixture, start with Aromat Original. Unilever South Africa calls it one of South Africa's most popular seasonings and says it is commonly used on eggs, and on potatoes, popcorn and pizza. The 75g canister comes ten to an outer; order the single outer or the full case of six. Add the other Aromat flavours, then Mince Mate and Rice Mate, which are boxed meal kits: the cook adds mince, or chicken and onions.
For a Pakistani fixture, the noodles come first. Unilever Pakistan says Chatpatta and Chicken are the favourite flavours there. Single packets come 72 to a case; the six-packs and the family pack suit the weekly shop.
For a Polish fixture, put the Fix sachets beside pasta and rice and keep the cup soups together. Unilever Poland describes Gorący Kubek as a quick alternative to traditional soup, for people at work and for students, so it can also sit near a hot-water point or a food-to-go counter.
Takeaway and catering kitchens have their own lines: beef, chicken and lamb bouillon powder in 1kg, six to a case, and Aromat Original in a 1kg tub.
