What Jacobs is.

Jacobs began in 1895, when Johann Jacobs opened his first shop in Bremen, Germany. He opened his first roastery in 1907, and the first Jacobs instant coffee was launched in 1957. Jacobs is one of the three global brands of JDE Peet's, the coffee company that Keurig Dr Pepper acquired in 2026.

The range in Ireland.

Krönung is the main line, sold as ground coffee and as instant, with decaf and Krönung Gold instant versions. The other instants are Cronat Gold, Crème Gold and Velvet. There are 3in1 mixes in Original, Intense and Milka, and cappuccino in Original and vanilla. The chocolate and biscuit lines shown on this page are Milka and Oreo products. Those are Mondelez International brands, not Jacobs. Every line is ambient.
